I'm guessing not but someone will chime in!?

u can still break it by being stupid i assume ?

It could be a random thing where the date changes. If someone assumes something is going on during the normal danger hours using the same caution as if it had a date. The hands were installed randomly on the no-date option and they could be changing during the safe hours of operation. If something should happen when adjusting the time, that's not doing something stupid in my opinion. The movement of the hour hand passing the 12 twice combined with the date visual is the usual indicator of being in the AM/PM zone to assure the gears aren't engaged during the danger hours.

When 9015, 2824, SW200, NH35 movements, etc. are used on dials with no date, they will usually just cover up the date wheel in most cases.

The Borealis could have used the Miyota 90S5 for the no date version, but used the 9015 for both models. Plenty of companies have done this with movements. I can't see paying the added labor to have the movement modified on no date models, if it's even offered as an option. In situations like the Miyota 9015 and 90S5 the options are there, but companies don't always use both. :dunno: There isn't much difference in the prices between the NH35/NH38, Miyota 9015/90S5. The only thing I can think of is availability issues for the individual companies making the choices.

Examples from other discussions below ↓↓↓↓↓↓

The movement includes a date function. Depending on how the hands were aligned when installed, the phantom date wheel may not click over at 12:00, if that's what you were listening for. With a hidden date wheel, there's no reason for a watchmaker to try to align the hands with the date change, so it could change at any time of day. If it still has a date set position, that's a sign that there's a concealed date complication in there.

Just a note but if the watch is a no date dial covering up the date then the click of the date changing might be at 12 o'clock - or it might be at any other time on the dial. The watchmaker would have to turn the crown until the date changed and then install the dial and hands set to 12 to have the date click at 12. Chances are on a less expensive watch the factory just installs the dial with no regard to the date so it could change at any time although it will change at that same time every 24 hours.

The Borealis Batial 3000m Automatic Diver Watch is powered by a Miyota 9015 Automatic Movement and is the very first CuSn8 bronze watch manufactured by Borealis Watch Company.

It is a watch inspired in designs of vintage diver watches with its own flare of modernity and timeless design.
A helium valve is located at the 9 o'clock position of the watch case making it a versatile diver watch that can be used by professional divers.
This automatic men's automatic diver watch is built to last with a solid CuSn8 case, sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating applied underneath and a hand made leather strap with a custom bronze CuSn8 buckle.
The Borealis Batial series is available four distinct dial colors: black, blue, brown and green together with a combination of date and non date dial.
With a total height of 13.50mm it is also an engineering feat as together with our expertise, usage of viton and tefzel gaskets we are able to present the Batial with the impressive rating of 3000m water resistance.
Part of the secret is as well usage of a premium automatic movement, the Miyota 9015 that allows watch to be slimmer and accurate at same time as it was built from the ground up using 21st century technologies.
The dial, watch hands are made with thick Swiss Made RC Tritec C3 lume applied to it in order to guarantee a perfect illumination and easy readability in darkness.
Each Borealis Batial Bronze CuSn8 Brown Dial Orange Bezel 3000m Miyota 9015 Automatic Diver Watch is complemented by a premium hand made calf leather strap with a custom made bronze CuSn8 buckle.
