Grand Diver crown problem

Received my Invicta Grand Diver IN 3048 with the yellow dial today. A great looking watch which I had owned a few years ago. I noticed the bezel was not at the 12 o'clock position it would not rotate. I put a little WD 40 around the bezel an after a few minutes got it to rotate. I also noticed the crown didn't function properly. I've had other Grand Divers with the TMI NH35A movement so know how the crown should function. On this watch when I unscrewed the crown the first stop was to set the date instead of hand winding the watch. The second stop was to set the time. So I can set the date and time, but can't hand wind. The watch runs when I shake it several times. Is there an easy fix to this problem or will I have to return it. If I reorder the same item will I be charged the same amount as the original purchase?

Thanks for any help on this....

When you unscrew the crown you should be able to wind the watch without pulling the crown out...pull out to first position to set date...pull to second position to set tyme...not sure if this is what you are doing...if so then never mind... :dunno:

When I start unscrewing the crown (counter clockwise) it goes into the date mode and advances the date...doesn't stop where I would hand wind. Guess it's going back...I was hoping if I fiddled around with it it would solve the problem

Not one, but 2 problems? Send it back. Could have been dropped and damaged the Crown position, especially if the bezel was also screwed up.
That's Invicta QC.

Not sure what the issue might be but could be a few things. I say send it back and get another or move on the the next piece. Sorry that happened

It's going back and I'll take the refund. I have owned about 85 Invictas since I started collecting watches in 2006. This is the second one I had to send back. I can't speak to Invicta's QC as I don't know the percentage of watches sold that have issues. I'll be looking for another watch with a yellow matte dial and less than $200....Aragon? Deep Blue? Something else?

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered the Divemaster 3 NH35 45 mm with the nice yellow dial. $139 plus tax and shipping $151. This will be my 3rd Aragon in the collection although I have flipped several over the years going back to Android. So now I am down to 2 Invictas in the collection:
Pro Diver 24760
NFL Bolt 52 mm quartz Chrono - 35855 . With the football season starting I had to get the Patriots watch. Great looking watch, but the date and subdials are too small to read and the lume isn't that great.

Aragon has had quality control issues lately and has always had problems with Crystal haze. Just FYI
