On the same day that the
No Time To Die trailer was released, Omega has revealed the principal watch worn in that film, the titanium Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial Master Chronometer 42mm 210.90.42.20.01.001.
Omega has worked closely on the development of this Bond watch with Daniel Craig and the filmmakers, whose knowledge of James Bond has brought invaluable insight to Omega's watch developers and designers. Daniel Craig’s own experience as 007 has also influenced this exciting final design.
Identical to 007's watch worn by James Bond in
No Time To Die this 42mm Seamaster, in strong yet lightweight Grade 2 Titanium, sports a brown tropical aluminium bezel ring and dial.
These elements have been given a classic look, thanks to the vintage Super-LumiNova, which fills the diving scale, blackened hands and indexes.
Slightly slimmer than the standard Diver 300M models thanks to the doming of the sapphire-crystal glass, it is presented on a Grade 2 Titanium mesh bracelet with innovative adjustable buckle. The strap is a metal mesh strap, also known as a Milanese strap or the Shark Mesh strap, but the watch is also available with a NATO strap (but that strap is not seen in the film).
The watch features a triangle icon just above the 6 o'clock indicator, which is a 'broad arrow' symbol used by British Armed Forces and visible on some vintage watches, issued and owned by the British Ministry of Defense, especially the W.W.W. watches from the Second World War, see examples in
this video.
Engraved on the caseback is the MoD arrow and a series of numbers, which follow the exact format for genuine military-issue watches.
The “0552” is the code-number specified for Navy personnel, with “923 7697” being the number for a divers’ watch. The letter “A” is a code used to signify a watch with a screw-in crown, while “007” is James Bond’s iconic agent number. Finally, the number “62” is the year of the very first James Bond film
Dr No.
The new watch is completed by a NAIAD LOCK caseback, which keeps all of the engravings in correct alignment.
Where the
SPECTRE Seamaster watch was limited to 7,007 pieces, this
No Time To Die watch is not a Limited Edition.
The watch (either with titanium or with NATO strap) is delivered in an exclusive brown fabric pouch.
The 007-edition Diver is powered by OMEGA's Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8806, which has achieved the industry’s highest standards of precision, chronometric performance - and of course - magnetic resistance.
Based on the spy shots from Bond 25 sets around the world and the latest trailer it looks like the watch will be worn in many scenes of the film.
It is not yet known of the watch has a special gadget feature in the film besides telling the time.
The recommended sale price (VAT excl.) is a whopping $9,200.00 (for the model with titanium bracelet) and $8100 for the model with NATO strap, and is available in stores February 2020.
