Long Island Watch

Today, we welcome an old friend back. The Orient Defender has finally been upgraded with a handwinding and hacking in-house Orient movement. With 5 to choose from, your biggest decision is choosing which to get!
This is the Generation II of the popular Orient Defender field watch. The layout and presentation of the blue dial have been shuffled. Essentially, the weekly and 24-hour sub-dials have swapped positions and sizing. The date has moved to the three o’clock position. The logo is on the opposite side and all the hands have been swapped and highlighted with a hint of red in some areas.

The shape of the hour markers have relatively stayed the same and the outer ring still features a 60 second/minute marker. The fully brushed case diameter has increased slightly by 0.4mm from 42mm and the crown is now at the three o’clock position. Design-wise, the case structure has stayed the same, and it has 100 meters of water resistance with a screwed-down crown. The 2nd generation Defender has been upgraded to the Orient caliber F6B22, which is a 22-jewel automatic, with hand-winding, and hacking.
