I was checking some batteries and I found the plastic case these watches came in was starting to melt or something.:dunno: They were stored in a cool dry place, but when I took the case from the cardboard box it felt tacky. I looked at my hands and they were turning black. I unscrewed the lid and the rubber was turning to mush so I threw all of the black rubber cases out and kept the outside box and CD/manual. I never liked the white rubber inserts in the bracelet so while it was out I removed the bracelet. It's too bad because the bracelet is built good with a ratchet clasp, solid end links, etc.

Thanks Whitey. That's what I figured too and dumped them after I washed the sludge off of my hands. It could be toxic.

HELIX OKTO... i remember those...CLOUS DE PARIS dial... big retail price...LIOR had a a bunch of containers at NOS. ...the liquidations seemed to last forever until like other bargains we have known suddenly they were SOLD OUT ..i had a bunch and lived them hard...until... then they were gone

-intersting to see entropy onnthose containers... a cautionary tale...that horo inventory needs to carefully inspected and maintained
