Dolla explains there are still plenty of people who will think about a purchase before buying, sometimes as long as six months. Going on to explain that buying a watch is not a commodity and many people still take time to read about and research before buying. He also admits the watch buying process is very accelerated for some watch enthusiasts, but for most rational people it still takes time to decide and buy a watch. Not everyone who enjoys a wristwatch is an addict.

I like to stalk a watch for awhile myself . Part of the fun is trying to get the watch for what you, yourself feel is the right price, then getting it. Patience, plus if you lose out there is always another watch to look for. Trying not to be so impulsive, sometimes easier said then done, but leads to more satisfying purchases, and less down the road regrets when a piece drops to a certain price you really would've liked to have spent.
