Incoming a few days from now, the new Sturmanskie Stingray, 300m Diver. I have been very curious about this one personally ever since it was announced late last year. Big thanks to our friend Craig Hester for making one available to me for this review.

Pic stolen from his site till I can take some of my own...

I got this watch about 2 months ago, LE No. 926/999 & Craig said this was the first one he was shipping, which I thought was pretty cool. He didn't even have the box yet which I got later on. I must say I am very happy with this watch, perfect size, a nice clean easy read dial, then add in the dimple dial, inlayed dimple bezel & a pretty cool canteen crown & offset crown protector makes this watch a keeper in my collection. I hope you feel the sting like I do.:)

I really like the offset crown, crown guard, 9 o'clock date window and though you don't wear it and it doesn't do anything for the watch, the box is kinda cool.

love this watch, esp with the bars... hate the price, otherwise I'd own it already.

Like everything about it except the crown guard. But that wouldn't stop me from buying it. What's the price on these?

Price? Roughly 850 to 1120 MSRP.

I'd rather have that crown guard on the Bremont Supermarine from whence the inspiration likely came. A better more tasteful execution IMPO. But of course, it would cost us considerably more.

Was curious about the Buran Stingray back in 2009,remembered it as soon as I seen this one, Volmax brands, Aviator, Buran, Sturmanskie .

Wow...I really like the green/black split dial with the 2 bars. That is cool.

Yes, as I understand it, Buran began this a few years back. While in pictures they look almost identical, the main differences are the case size (Buran-52mm, Sturmanskie-47mm) and the movements. Buran uses much more expensive movements (I believe the latest was a V7750) while Sturmanskie went with the more budget-friendly NH35.

Look forward to seeing your review on this one. It definitely has sparked some interest.

Still think imho, there is an upper limit on what I'd pay for an NH35. I recently saw on another forum that cost on that movement is 39 bucks. That's a big margin. I think on a watch in the 600 to 800 I'd have to have a 2824 or a 9100 series. Go ahead and brain me I can handle it......

So far I really like what I see with this and look forward to the review.
