IN-HOUSE MOVEMENT + MICRO GAS TUBES.
TWO BRIGHT IDEAS.

As a leader in luminosity, BALL has equipped the Engineer M Challenger with micro gas tubes for quick and clear reading in darkness. The hour markers, including the 3, 6, 9 and 12 numerals, are comprised of the green self-powered gas tubes, which do not require charging from an external source. Easy readability is paramount in dark environments – and the Engineer M Challenger delivers every time, everywhere.

The road to independence is not marked by comfort, but rather unstoppable courage. With the introduction of our first in-house movement, BALL Watch Co. is taking a bold step in its watchmaking future. For years, BALL timepieces have been equipped with intelligent innovation. And, now, the Engineer M Challenger is the first timepiece to be fitted with a manufacture caliber, yet will not be the last.

BREAKING BARRIERS OF INNOVATION AND EXPLORATION.
At the heart of our manufacture caliber is precision, efficiency and reliability. As a COSC certified movement, the timepiece has undergone rigorous testing by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute. Its 80-hour power reserve goes beyond ordinary autonomy, while beating to a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour or 4Hz. The movement itself and its polished finishing can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back.

IMPRESSIVE, INSIDE AND OUT.
While the Engineer M Challenger stands out because of its movement, the black, blue and grey dials are eye-catching due to their expansive designs. And, at 40mm and 43mm, the models fit comfortably with exploration gear, casual wear and dress attire. The BALL Watch DNA of exceptional ruggedness is matched by the timepiece’s pleasing aesthetics.

Very impressive to be sure. Thanks Mike.

These are the biggest Balls I've seen to date, 46mm. I have seen others that aren't as big in diameter, but the sheer thickness and girth compensates for the difference in the mm circumference. I guess for those who prefer the big boys with tubes, Wing will have to be your fix for now. I think to date he has made the biggest size tube watches.
