Crystal in my Invicta Corduba Enforcer needs cleaned. And I cannot get the case back to budge. So far this is the only watch I've not been able to open. The problem (besides tight) is that I cannot grip the watch case well enough to apply enough torque to the case back. Any ideas on how to hold the case safely so I won't FUBAR it?

Sorry to hear about this but by the title of the thread I was hoping this was about something else;)

I use one of these. Hasn't failed me yet.[br][br]http://blog.esslinger.com/wp-content/uploads/2))4/)6/jaxaback_photo).jpg

Try turning it clockwise first, just a bit of torque. Sometimes, on other sticky fasteners, that will help break the seal and allow it to be turned to loosen.

I'll second the suggestion of using the watch case holder/vise. It really provides the assistance of a vise with delicate plastic contacts.

Good luck, I am sure you will get it open, sometimes when you find yourself up against a bullheaded adversary like a case back that feels like it is welded on, retreat and regroup for another day. I had the same thing happen to me on my S) Rally case back, having that molded rubber strap compounded the issue of being able to get a good grip and angle on the beast. I had a decent variety of weapons and ammunition in my arsenal but it took everything I threw at it and felt like the strength of the Hulk and the Thing combined would not have mattered here, I'm very stubborn and hate to give in but decided to retreat and fight another day. Eventually after a good nights sleep and a nightmare or two about the case back from hell, I confronted the S) with a determined and focused attack plan, using the heaviest equipment I had at my disposable. After what seemed like hours of cursing and swearing, trying to stay focused through the stinging mixture of salt ,tears and sweat, on the doorstep of insanity and exhaustion, I felt what thought could finally be a breakthrough with the slightest movement. I wondered did it really move? or could it just be my imagination and wishful thinking, the illusion of false hope mixed with my delirium? After assessing the damage, if any that I had attempted to inflict on the beast,I decided to confer with an old friend for advice before attempting one final wave of attack on cracking open this impenetrable fortress. Having renewed confidence and determination given to me by my rendezvous with Samuel Adams, victory seemed in my grasp, I felt the horological Gods finally smiled down on me.Sensing the slight shift in strategical position, taking baby steps using all of the tools at my disposal, the seal was finally broken, gaining entry was not an easy task, moving forward was filled with countless twist and turns before the words “mission accomplished “ could finally be spoken.[br][br][br][br]weapons used to finally win the war.[br][br]http://www.amazon.com/Paylak-TSHOL)328-Watch-Holder-Repair/dp/B))3OEP8QU [img style= src=http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/4)HF-pA-ZfL.jpg][br][br]http://www.esslinger.com/horotec-watch-case-back-opener-wrench-2-pin-high-leverage-style/ [img style= src=http://cdn3.bigcommerce.com/s-iic)h...)7)3photo)__45)86.)4))3)9769.5)).5)).jpg?c=2]
