I was on one of the Facebook Groups when I first saw the black version of these and I immediately had to see if they’d let me try one of the prototypes so here we are.

I am not getting paid for this, no free watch will come my way and I don’t receive a discount for this. They will pay for the cost of shipping it back but that’s it.

I’m not a reviewer. I’m just here showing off the eye candy that I love about this watch and I’m happy to answer any questions.

I will say that it looks and feels like it’s done by one of the 2-3 most popular factories that we are seeing used by Helm, Borealis, Halios, NTH, etc. I have no idea which one and I felt it would be rude for me to ask. The construction is really solid and I love the brushed finished.

Please keep in mind that this one has been used by whoever before me plus for demo pictures so there are signs of wear.

I didn’t get to choose which prototype I’d receive but I definitely wanted this one or the blue one with black bezel.

The owner mentioned that the ratchet clasp will either say Marlin or have a Marlin on it.

congrats... u get to cop a feel... and keep the PP un-debited.... real pretty...and u broke it down real good horo-splaining these are asian contract tools coming from 3 primary factories supply unlimited demand questionable...the name confused me...guess it's just a fish but i thought of the iteration from a company from waterbury, ct.

Congrats Luis and thanks for sharing another Micro Brand!

Thanks for sharing this with us. Really rocks. Great photo shoot !!

I have to admit that, while I was reading your intro, I wasn't too sure about how I was going to feel about this brand, even though I typically have a HUGE soft spot for these little start-ups and the timepieces they produce. So then I saw the pictures and I really, really liked the look of this watch especially with the light blue canvas and the modified 'beads of rice' bracelet. The other stuff looked pretty good, especially the mesh, but those two core pieces I previously mentioned ought to be the sum total of what they decide to sell and ship. Of course, this is just my simple, humble opine coming out. Oh, and OBTW, I absolutely LOVED the lume on this one!!

One last thing, which is pretty much so trivial that I almost hate to mention it, is the company's name: "Dificiano." To me, it does not 'ring' quite so well, since it's so close to the English word, "deficient." While I'm pretty sure that no one on the design team thought about or 'caught' this similarity, but to this somewhat multi-lingual rodent, "Dificiano" still comes out sounding and somewhat feeling like "deficient."

So that's my two pfennig's worth... I really like the watch a lot, especially with all that powder blue, which is truly 'under-used,' IMHO. The lume is awesome. And the name? Hmmm, well, not so much, I'm afeared...

Luis, many, many thanks for bringing us this beautiful [and unfortunately named] watch, and I hope you'll share more with us in the coming weeks and months, as I genuinely enjoy the efforts of the smaller-label brands...

Is this an Italian watch? If so, I believe the pronunciation would be 'dee-fee-CHAH-noh'. If it ain't Italian, I wouldn't have the first clue :)

I *love* the Marlin feel this watch has.
