Zelos Horizons 43mm Carbon Dial Review added 03/20/21 (goes live Tuesday @ 11am EST on 23rd of March)

These look FANTASTIC, but all OOS now. Do they come back in stock?
Once something is sold out they don't get restocked. The only options are to buy from the AD's when they receive small allotments, private seller market or wait until the next new variation of a particular line is released.

Some will say why not make more, but this formula is working for Zelos. What seems to happen is it creates strong anticipation of the next wave of releases. That in turn seems to be a formula for repeated sellouts in record time.

They keep increasing the production number of new batches, but not by thousands, but rather hundreds. The next ones offered will be the Hammerhead 300m (44mm dial/48mm L2L/13mm thickness/22mm lugs). Some colors will be offered in quantities of 1000 and other ones in 500.

This is a larger number compared to past offerings beside the SF40s. It seems to be a constant tweaking effort trying to find a sweet spot. Satisfying disappointed potential buyers who miss a model and having too much inventory left over.

IMO I would rather have continued sell-outs rather than over production like I see so many other brands do. The business model of Zelos is not to run sales for left over inventory. They offer batches with competitive pricing in limited quantities for a pre-order pricing tier and bump up pricing for whatever quantities are left. There is no price gouging and inflated price structures creating false up and down claims of savings, only stable pricing.

?
If they bump up pricing after release, how is that stable?
They are offered less on pre-order. They are still very good prices that do not fluctuate up and down like Invicta. Folks have better things to do than play the bait and wait price switching game that brands like Invicta do. Even Deep Blue is another example of stable pricing on their own site. Not every company has elevator pricing. I know rose colored glasses can make things a little hazy to understand at times, but it's relatively simple math.

I watched the DB show and the first time in years on that huckster shopping channel. Some of the prices they showed were ridiculously high. The hostess was constantly interrupting Stan while he was talking about a watch.

I would want the prices to be the same after launch, after people who've bought it have had a chance to post about them

Which watches were ridiculously high?

They don't have people making sales pitches on a TV shopping channel and brand reps spewing off total BS to sell a watch. Some watches sell themselves.

Pre sales make sense to me. Get people a discount for buying first. Then later, after those folks review them and post photos others buy any that remains in stock. I believe Elshan is producing more so he will have stock for the stores he is going to be selling through and building the Zelos brand. Maybe he uses this instead of an advertising budget?

Thankfully Elshan is easy-going and not thin skinned. If I or anyone else posted any other photos on Stan's Deep Blue now defunct forum. He would remove it. No other brands were allowed to be posted or discussed.

Early morning FedEx drop. Both were dial options I have never owned from Zelos and couldn't be happier. Great way to start the week.

I had FedEx drop off three of mine this morning (y)

Got my Forged Carbon in. I can’t believe how much the dial changes from inside light to outside sunlight. Too bad the screwdriver I thought would fit is too large. Have to wait, to size until I get correct screwdriver.

Congrats. Right size screw driver is worth the wait. The screws won't get mangled. I won't size mine until they run 48 hours or so. Best of luck with yours and wear it well.

1.5 mm screwdriver is correct size for Horizon

Great advice. I will do that. The Horizon is not as big as some YouTube reviewers had me believe. I’m a little concerned how small the Neptuno will be now. I like 45. I wonder how the horizon looks side by side with a Hamerhead? Anybody have both and can add photos? I would appreciate it.
