A Discussion around Diver / Diving Chronographs. The word "Oxymoron" is used often when describing these watches. On one hand, they serve multiple purposes functioning both as a Diver and a Chrono. On the other, they are often overbuilt, sometimes very cluttered and aren't a part of any specific genre. As far as sports watches go, these fall into a grey area. BUT judge them by how their designs have been addressed and you might be surprised.

 Time pieces for those that can't keep the "Dirty side down, and the Clean side up"!:lol:Thanks for posting this up, Mike.:hat:

i used to love some wobblers but have mostly gone to the clean style 3-hand tool... I no longer own chronograph but would never push a pusher under the sea

chronographs have horse racing provenance and that is a cool story... 1 thing is true ScottyB is a sucker for an horo story

No diver or serious snorkeller would consider a chronograph.
Having a date on a dive watch is usless, so a chrono?
Nope.

a doubt a diver or serious snorkler uses a watch for dive timing. that said these divers never need to time anything when they aren't under water?
divers use computers...wit divers use 3 hand tools or chrono for WALTER MITTY DEEP DIVES
