Looking to buy a cheap automatic watch. Preferably one that is working but would be open to one that isn't. Don't care about the band/case etc. I want the movement to use for learning how to disassemble and reassemble automatics. Trying to learn watch repair and I need a practice movement. Would like tonget one for 20 to 25 if possible.

My other options are

1. Take one of my older, in good order Invictas and sacrifice it to my education.
2. Buy a cheap Chinese auto movement from ebay.

I'd recommend buying a lot on ebay. Usually you can find a good group with various movements to help you out with variety

Thanks. I did end up buying a Chinese 2824 clone from eBay. I'll have to check and see if I can find a lot. That would work great. Especially since right now I'm at the stage where parts are continually flying off the bench.
