Is Tauchmeister a dirty word? I don't see much about them. I just ordered a T0299 Diver with what looks like a GMT hand and a diver bezel and would like some info but can't find any.
Amazon had a $99.99 special and I couldn't refuse.

they are GERMASIAN...german co asian contract watch...and very nice value... i owned a diver long ago...and TYMEBANDIT posted his LWIG proudly... congrats & enjoy

Here's a few Tauchmeister threads:

I have two in my collection, and enjoy wearing both. Haven't had a problem with either one of them in years.

I got a few. Guy on ebay Superuhr puts them on sale every summer and I load up. Some interesting designs with cages and canteens. I only do autos...... I think they are still using the 8215. Mine usually require a strap change straight out of the box.

I was always curious about those as well. Only place outside of the Bay where I've ever seen them was over at Watchismo (now watches.com). Always thought they had some great looking watches there. Sure you'll have no problem.....
Congrats!

Check out Arthur's pics...his are some, if not THE, best i've seen.

I've had my eye on a few, but I'm trying to go toward the aviator styles...I've got plenty of divers so I'm looking for something new nowadays.

I own several and never had a problem. Some of my older models have ETA 2828.

Thanks. The fourth hand rotates along with the other hands to give military tyme or am I missing something.
I never claim to be the sharpest knife in the drawer!

Yes, you are correct and as I stated in my review the 4th hand is actually a am/pm/military time indicator and not a GMT. It is a very solid watch and has performed flawlessly for me.

I have one I traded for. It is a decent watch, great lume, wears nice and has a Miyota quartz movement. For $99 I'd buy another.
