I have 2 of these watches, but don't have this one. Guy is asking too much at a starting bid of $1,100. I think this watch was going for in the range of $700-800 when these came out.

If they were asking seven to eight hundred for this one it was overpriced having a sapphire mineral coated crystal. The seller better lay off the crack with that starting bid.

Have to agree with Mike why have a coated crystal? Maybe $350.00 range at best for the watch.

There isn't a whole lot of diamonds there to warrant a very high price. If it was new or like brand new $275 to $350 is the most I would pay. Least complex bracelet, case they made. Having the auto is nice, but anything more then $350 in this age of Swiss auto bargains is probably too much.

That's what happens when a company goes cheap on you. This watch came out about 2012 maybe when Renato came back to Shop NBC the second tyme around when Avi was the ambassador. Most of the watches became sapphire coated mineral instead of all sapphire.

Although, a sapphire crystal is more expensive, and more sought-after, and it should be expected with a higher-end automatic watch with diamonds... isn't the argument that while Sapphire is more scratch resistant, mineral is more impact/shatter-resistant? So although cheaper to make, sapphire coated mineral crystal would be the best of both worlds In a real world setting?
Again, I'm not arguing the desire to have a sapphire crystal... Especially on this model... just pointing out sapphire coated mineral isn't the worst you could do.

Sapphire crystals are inexpensive enough not to cut corners. I'll take a Sapphire every time over sapphire coated mineral. I wore my Chase Durer StrikeForce II quartz model with a sapphire crystal daily on my routes. I struck the face of the watch many times while doing drop and hooks, opening up trailer doors in the wind and many other occasions. I was afraid to look most times because of the hit, but fortunately for me there was never a chip or crack in the crystal. I guess if I was using it to hammer nails, I may have a problem.

I do believe this TIMEpiece came in at about $550 to $600 range. Beautiful TIMEpiece for sure. I happen to love mine in the same color.

If this was a good price I maybe would pick this one up. I have the other 2 in my collection.

I'd take skepticism of the description a step farther: there is no such thing as sapphire coated mineral. It's a made up description for something out of the Star Trek universe like transparent aluminum.

Stick the crystal in mass spec and it'll be negative for aluminum oxide - the sapphire on that crystal is manufactured from 50% wishful thinking combined under heat and pressure with 50% used oats.

I do love the Renato bracelets and case designs. I just wish they had made this one in an automatic

I wonder if I gave some watchmaker $500....could he find a way to pop a 7750 or something in there. Even a Chinese auto chrono movement.....

Renato is one of those brands I regret not trying when they were at their peak on Evine along
with the Older style Invicta's. Likely I managed to find some Renato's on eBay so I can always check
one or two out.
