Welcome! That's a cute username. I don't know if "any watch" will do but I look forward to your input and insight.

Welcome to the forum. Watches, pie and dogs. Nice Omega. I myself have a couple of granddads watches. No Omegas but nice just the same. He’s part of the reason I collect. I hope you enjoy your stay here! :hat:

Welcome to WIT, a site I'm very fond of referring to as a safe, well-lighted place to enjoy "this watch thing" we all share...and it just soooo happens that I'm also a big fan of dogs & pie, with motocycles coming in a very distant fourth; distant because I was one of those stupid kids that thought speed = > enjoyment, only to find that speed actually = > broken bones + scars. Of course, pie = > girth, and dogs = > more broken hearts, not to mention that > watches = vastly > expenses; In the end, there's a downside to everything, I guess, though watches DO tend to yield mostly positive results than not. But I digress...which I do a lot, I must admit.

The really good news is that you have come to the only watch site I have ever personally encountered that doesn't have some sort of "uber-axe" to grind with the rest of the watch collecting world. Examples of these "uber-axers" includes Watch site X, a site that hates "TV watches;" Watch site Y knows that they -- and they ALONE -- are the "moral compass" of the watch-collecting world; Watch site W believes they're the smartest of all collectors; and then there's Watch site Z, demonstrating the ultimate in hubris, because they believe they are ALL of these things (and soooo much more), and everyone else should be shown the door. Yep, these examples ALL exist, believe it or not. And most of us have seen at least a couple of them, at one time or another.

So what's so great about WIT? Again, by way of example, if one watch model from a given company is a bad bet, we don't broad brush that whole brand because of it. If there are bad trends within a whole brand, we make sure that's what we're seeing before we go into "bad brand reporting mode." Reputations can't be rebuilt once sullied, so we're naturally reluctant go negative on a brand-wide basis without genuine facts to back it up. Oh, and we don't make personal attacks on brand owners, either. Are we perfect? Of course not! We're just more careful, and, IMHO, more professional because of that genuine caring.

Anyhow, take a look around the site, and you'll hopefully see what I mean; mutual-respect is something that's unilaterally practiced here, just as personal attacks are unilaterally eschewed. In the end, we're glad you're here, and we're pretty sure you'll like what we have to offer to our membership. So, again, welcome to WIT. Post early; post often, and, most importantly: have fun!
