Decided to splurge a bit on myself this Christmas. Which means of course, is that I bought a new watch. ;)

It's a Movado. A Movado Veturi (I think). Got it from Ashford for a hair over $300. A bit pricey for what you get, but I always liked the looks of the Movado time piece. And this one is on a bracelet. So I decided to take the plunge.

Some pics below. One comment I'll make is that you know on here and other places, Invicta takes a beating at times. And at times, it's not totally undeserved either. But in this case, I will give Invicta this -- most of the time, when they plate a watch with that Swiss Gold Layering(tm), they do it on the obverse and reverse. Not so with the Movado. It's layered nicely on the front...but nekkid on the backside. Oh well, not a biggie, as it's not visible anyway.

Pics for ye clicks:

Very classy piece, Joe.
Congrats, and enjoy!

A very sharp looking time piece indeed, Joe. A big congratulations. A marvelous presentation on the wrist. Looking good my friend. ENJOY!:cool2:

A really classy timepiece - looks great - congrats & enjoy!

Ver nice dress piece yours is very anatomically correct. I saw my father wearing his. The case is the size of a dime. It took me awile to stop laughing. Congrats

Congratulations on the Movado. I have owned several over the years with no problems. These days, I have trouble telling the time on their traditional "museum" dials. I have to agree with you on that plating thing. You would think that all of the surfaces would be plated on a timepiece from such a notable and recognized brand. Congratulations, again

COngrats! Always wanted a Movado, just haven't gotten one yet. Enjoy it!

Thanks for the compliments, everybody! Appreciate the kind words very much.

I think this would be a decent sort of watch to put on for New Year's Eve festivities. Not that I would be going to a lot of them, mind you. But if I were, at least my wrist would be properly attired. ;)

Thanks again,

Joe C.
