Those Renato screws are a very bad design. I have many watches using screws in the links and seldom, if ever have an issue. I think it is the design of the slot/Phillips head combined with soft material. I think they would have been better with just a slot head instead of the cross style. The single slot would have provided more stability with the gripping surface area. When Nancy was in charge of customer service at the original company she took care of several watches that had screw issues free of charge. I could never find a suitable size replacement. Nancy was a shining light for the company and provided great customer service.

Sorry for the grainy images. I had the camera settings to the lowest possible that is why they are grainy. No black light was used on the images. The red is from the infrared eye of camera.
