The focus was on everything but the watch...oh well...more later...

Don and Gregg...setting the day/date is a beeotch...not that I can even see it...LOL

early spring magnolia reflected on orange sun CF 2 movement creamsicle

You are the man..that magnolia tree has been thru some troubled times, but is still coming along...been a very wet and cold time here in western Maryland...got my herbs under cover tonight...frost warning...

And I thought I saw evidence of a female puppah-dawg in the form of those little tan, usually circular spots on the lawn...there ain't NUTHIN' finer than a puppah-dawg, brown spots and all...

Oh, YEAH, and the watch is a very COOL looker, if ever I saw an orange-dual-time-classic-Wing-Android-cool-LOOKER!! Write with Eversharp!!

I miss the weather in that part of the country...though, admittedly, not enough to give up Cali & Haifa, two VERY special places for me...

OMG, what BEAUTIMOUS FACES!!! ***SIGH*** I love dawgs more than anything, even watches AND my Navy Wings of Gold...!! Such lovely puppers you have, and the eyes on that last one just make my heart melt like buttah in uh oven!! ?

Well gang, after a little bit longer of a wait than my esteemed colleague above, mine showed up at our little place in Haifa today...here are some pix:

A little bit of militaria for my little Luftwaffe friend; one of my two flight jackets from my first Squadron...why two? One is goatskin leather with lamb's wool collar, while the other was a green jacket made of flame-resistant aramid. The latter one looks okay, but it's the former that every naval aviator knows is THE jacket every young Aviation Officer Candidate wants when he/she shows up at good old P-Cola, AKA NAS Pensacola, FLA, the home of nasal radiation, er, um Naval Aviation... :dunno:

A pose with the squadron ball cap: the SHWFOTS stands for S--t-Hot-World-Famous-Orange-Tail-Shrikes (Our display aircraft -- A-7E's, when I flew with them -- featured orange tails, along with the orange-painted Shrike logo...)

A nice close-up of this beautimous dial...

And an amazing engineering photo (above), featuring the twin micro-rotors that drive both of the movements in this dual-time watch! Whether you think highly of The Wingster's designs or not, he is one danged fine Horological Engineer! What a danged COOL layout, no?

And my last intro pic, another terrific close-up of that amazing dial...
