Well, that is what it felt like I guess. It hurt like a sum'bitch! I had a 9mm stone in my right kidney. Had surgery, some sort of laser to bust it up. Now I have a stent thing in my kidney, which will have to be removed (without me being knocked out? ugh..) and not looking forward to that party!
I am thankful I got into the hospital. All this news about hospitals being swamped and overcrowded with covid cases had me worried I might not even get into it.
Big shout out to the LAFD paramedics, and the nurses and doctors at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. They all were such kind and caring professionals.
I didn't get any sleep for 3 days nor eat or drink water for 2 days but I am home now and starting to feel much better.
The rumor is that a kidney stone hurts the same or more as childbirth for a woman. If that is so, I cannot imagine any woman ever wanting a second child voluntarily!
