Greetings again, if you have advice on which Invictas to buy and which ones to avoid please add to this discussion. I am a silicone strap sceptic not by experience, but by review and wonder if I am missing out on a world of watches. Feel free to share your experiences with silicone and leather strap Invictas here.

Here let me start this off right!
 .. Don't try to push sillycone beyond it's limits on-air!

Silicon does not bother me. If you don't twist it in a knot like the idiot in the video they'll pretty much last forever. No dry rot and pretty comfortable to wear. Nice warm weather straps as well. A lot of Invicta watches have proprietary silicon straps. If you really like a watch and it has the silicon on it, I say go for it!

I thought their lifetime was around 2 years?

Poking fun aside, I've never had an issue with silicone, poly is a whole nuther ball game, don't get me started!
I'll always try to go the bracelet route but when the only option is silicone, it's a buy & wear it right away choice.
I have a problem WIT Leather sometimes, it may be too short for my fat wrist or just plain uncomfortable.
