Caught this on a good sale.

8040.d movement, black MOP. The highlight is the furnace blue numerals.
The description said mineral crystal, but the caseback says flame confusion (y)

I will have to tape up the ends of the chain so that it doesn't scratch the metal. Not really a fan of chains for this reason.

Invicta engraving on the side, doesn't bother me.

Most of the surfaces are mirror polished, including the bracelet. I would have preferred a brushed bracelet.

MOP is good

One thing I would have liked are minute markers on the dial.

Loving this piece!

Very cool color combo. Congrats, and thanks for the great pics!

LOVE IT. Glad you grabbed one. Those blue numerals and index markers are sublime. My little dangly chain never caused any scratches, so not a worry there. Looks great in gold!

Cool watch. Congrats.
yeah with yellow box designer eye for scoring they took classic tonneau and blew it up...furnace blued hands in the venerable breguet tradition gone peter max... big statement OG...he who wears the gold gets the gold

These are sweet. I say snip the chain off
i mean i never been on the chain gang... because with my fat fingers i knowed I'd break that chain" BOWLING GREEN...SEWING MACHINE " TONY CURTIS-SIDNEY PORTIER THE DEFIANT ONES

and that fat crown I'd fear I'd strip it...I once stripped the threads on a tie diver in a yellow box...I was a long vacation to a "swiss spa" for repair... and the money aded up with the minimum and postage and insurance... back then I think it was $25 or $35 under warranty

just my opinion OG...not trying out for wit cheer leading squad...can keep my back forest

Nice watch congrats.

Those chains are easy to remove. You risk losing the cap, but gain losing the tape and worrying about the scratches. You could easily cut a thin piece of invisible tape to go around the edge of the crown cap to make sure it doesn't get lost.

Is that lume on the dial? It looks great!
The lume material is applied thick in large areas and is really bright upon the initial charge. True to form the Tritnite fades pretty fast unfortunately.

My favorite Russian Diver. I have been pondering this model for some time now. Haven't done so just yet. Yours looks great! I love the square case and how the function pushers look against it. Congrats on a cool pick up.
