Invicta and the SHAQ watches

Thanks yes, it has no down side to give it a try, except I think they hit you for a return fee of some sort, at Shop?? I read somewhere that their "Smart Label" fee is charged back against the refund, so, we'll see how much they steal on that one, haha.

I went with the Jason Taylor version, with the red "glass fiber," a feature JT suggested himself, if the hosts are stating correctly. The JT branding seems subtle, and the dial looks like it just really pops.

Even with a few hundred watches, red is still a color that is short, in my collection, and it's actually been proving difficult to get a richly red color. It's still sitting at the price drop of just under $200, so, a good deal. They also have a blue.

I was so jealous of @misterjingles recent diver, with the red bezel and accents -- that's exactly the kind of deep red I want, not the dim, orangey tomato soup, washed out kinda hue that seems so common.

I also have wanted a burgundy, so, I stayed up all night to catch the quickly sold out new 43mm Zelos Horizons. Can't wait for that one to arrive -- looks like a more aggressively styled Seiko Presage Cocktail Time, in terms of dial work. That one will hopefully shore up the burgundy slot, but, idk, a good red has been elusive, for me.

My Airboss Mach 6, from Victorinox, is Swiss Army knife red, but that is its own hue, almost closer to brick red. I don't have a ton of red in my wardrobe, but a bright rich red is my goal.

My red Aragons were a tad disappointing, tbh, in that respect, although the red Regeneron is better than the Superjet.

Black and red, in particular, is such a vibrant mix, if done correctly, and this JT SH has the black bezel, with two of the subdials also ringed in black, it looks like and the red glass fiber seems very promising. Model is 23292.

Yes, they charge $10 smart label fee, and you lose original shipping, but $22 to try out an iconic Invicta line is worth it :giggle:

You're right about red being rare, I wish Invicta would do more red dials. Their burgundy lines tend to sell out first, so I don't know why they aren't making more of those.

I have that red dial Sea Hunter. I think mine did not have the two tone bracelet though. I like this abalone execution one better with the two tone look: https://invictastores.com/invicta-sea-hunter-mens-quartz-58mm-model-33364

Just look at how that abalone pops with the black bezel :love:

There was an interesting Bolt design, with combined red and black cables, for $99, but the red version was sold out.

And, speaking of Shaq designs, I recall some version of a red and black, but I didn't like the design.

I did find a burgundy accented Venom, on eBay, but it was a bit overpriced. They had a blue one as well. Idk that I'm a huge fan of the Venom series, really. I have one of the smaller ones with the Swiss ETA G10 in there, but some of the bigger ones seem a bit much, lol.

Yup, I can see how the abalone would really be highlighted by the black accents there. Nice!

So, if none of your watches are sized, they are just in storage then? Or, on display? Any plans to size them?

This is from @Kmot OTWT. Gorgeous red.

Yup, I nearly fell over when I saw that one. Insanely beautiful! That's how red should be done.

I actually searched for it, but it seems sold out everywhere, and, sadly, only a 41mm.

They have a Marine Star, red dial, black subdials -- a ketchup panda? It looks pretty cool. I've been tempted to grab it.

I'm a sucker for red and that one is stunning.

Yes, in storage boxes
I will size some of them this year. But too many watches, not enough days to wear them all
I actually have some strap executions. I should start wearing them, rather than my cheap $10 digital watch
Before the pandemic I was wearing my leather strap bolt zeus S1 rallys.

I have the sickness, bad o_O🤪

Venoms: I love them (Gen 1)! I have a few master calender gen 1's, love them to bits!

The great thing about 2manywatches, lol, is that they really do stay in such great condition, due to the very limited wear time.

In some cases, for me, it begs the question as to why I still have them, but I suppose mostly because I don't have the time to try to sell them somewhere, so, I just keep 'em all.

Oh, yes, I have a Master Calendar Venom, come to think of it! A terrific movement. It's on a super stiff poly strap, and it's a big a$$ watch, so not my most comfortable piece, to be sure, haha.

Ha, I sure re-caught the bug when I came here, and I'm really glad, because it's added some fun stuff. Seems mostly out of my system now, or so I like to tell myself, but this year has slowed down a lot, and there's not much left for me to get.

Well, until I see something I don't have...

I do hope you get time to size up the watches. Much more fun on the wrist, or, at least for me. I can't stand when a watch sits, unsized, for even a few day, haha. I generally shove all the work off my desk and get to sizing. In fact, I now just keep the sizing kit at the office. Priorities!

I only have a 7.75" wrist, but am in the gym daily. I too have been told I can "pull them off." They were/are fun occasionally, but I've learned my arms look bigger with "smaller" watches. My sweet spot is 50-52mm with a tapered lug.... think SAS or chaos.
Well....trim the hedges to make the house look bigger......lmmfao

Curious to hear the Forum's take on the collection. I must admit I have really enjoyed almost all the Jason Taylor line.
Still can't dial in on the SHAQ collection yet. Love him as a player and sportscaster/personality. We have some great informative members here,
What is the traction sales wise on the SHAQ timepieces? How is the group feeling overall about his watch's?

Thanks....DCWATCHGEEK

I'm liking the Shaq line more and more. As I mentioned earlier, they have some new designs (LOVE the 60mm bolt), and some nice upgrades to existing lines at fair prices when on good sales. The 62mm Seahunter is my favorite Gen II SeaHunter. Not all that wearable, but upgraded dialwork and movement.
