The watch compartments are bigger compared to the 8 slot, 3 slot and 1 slot cases.

For 8 slot, the watch compartment dimensions are: 6cmx9cm

For 15 slot: 6.5cmx10cm.

The watch pillows are significantly larger, so much so that it is difficult to put them in watches (bracelet closed, unsized).
Grand Octanes, and the Shaq 60mm Bolts fit well on these pillow, others I have to jam them on (bracelet closed, unsized).

I am not sure why the change in dimensions.

There is an easy solution for the larger cushions in the new 15 slot dive case if they don't fit your watches....take a large SERRATED knife and slice off 1/5 to 1/4 of the cushion from the round edge (lay cushion on flat side while cutting) and now your watches should fit perfectly after "the operation". Takes just a couple minutes to do them all (Just be careful not to take off too much) :giggle:

I would much rather have the larger compartments on these new 15 slot cases to better separate the watches (especially the larger ones over 50mm) from each other. I really like these new 15 slot dive cases and in my opinion the larger cushions as a result are just a minor annoyance and easily solved to adapt to fit your watches

I'm thinking of just using the Invicta yellow pillows instead - any disadvantages to this?

Or just using the big cushions - it will put some stress on the bracelet, but is this bad?

The Invicta yellow pillows are fine if that's what you would like to use or just "cut" off a little from the big cushions the case came with like I did (my preference).

Note also the foam cushions on the 15 slot case are also a little wider as well because of the wider slots vs the 8 slot cases.

Either way I personally don't like to put too much strain on the metal bracelets which is why I cut them to fit (and the watches on the cut down cushions fit just fine in the dive case).

I need a couple of 15 slot pillows please email [email protected] or call 303.517-8212

The newer 15 slot cases now have smaller pillows. I kinda liked the older longer pillows, and cutting them down to size using @breadmen 's technique.

All right, so the dimensions of the 15 slot patch case are different than from the other 15 slot cases. The patch case is longger, but slimmer. As a result, the interwatch distance is larger in the path cases and so they are better suited for Shaq and Seahunters.

Yup, have done the same, or swapped to other cushions. I like to close the bracelet around the pillow, the foam rounds are too big for that, so I have alternately used other cushions or trimmed the existing ones, for taking watches to the jeweler for battery changes. I like how light the case is, for the size. Even packed full of Invicters, it's still an easy carry.
