Hi all,
Thought I'd join a forum and get a little educated on a couple of old pocket watches I inherited (and will probably sell) an "Elgin" and a "not sure" that's missing the front crystal. I've been wearing a Tag Heuer (Kirium?) for almost 20 years (sadly, it's been out for repair since February and delayed by Covid). I used to like the gimmicky Casios (game watch, calculator, phone dialer...) and still have those in a box somewhere.

Hello, Craig! Welcome to WIT, where if we don't have the answer you're looking for, we'll for sure help you get it! This site is fully-based on the concept of mutual respect for each other, for our watch choices and for the Horological knowledge each of us brings to the table each day and week. Our moderators are, for the most part, laissez faire in their outlook and, most especially, in their actions, as is our Admin. In truth, the watch discussion boards can get to be very acrimonious and personal, so we do our best to make this a "safe, well-lighted place" on the interwebz where we can safely -- and without any :poop:!! -- go about our business, the business of enjoying watches. Soooo hop in, swim around the pool and stick around for mini-umbrella cocktails later! So again, Craig, welcome to WIT!!

Welcome to the forum, Craig!

welcome...i like PWs... own a few mostly from CHINA & RUSSIA since reversing engineering a swiss watch engine aint exactly rocket science... also a good story the evo of PW to wrist watch as those soldiers in those stinking trenches in WW1 kept 2 hands on a rifle thus the PW on a strap was born...when u take a PW and mod it on a strap now it's called a MARRIAGE WATCH... i own a couple...

i like TAG...welcome hope you get the info you're looking for
