Mission achieved: The first HELBERG CH1 DAMASCUS STEEL incl. bezel and case back made from DAMASCUS STEEL was successfully deep etched. This is how the CH1 DAMASCUS STEEL watch case look like when it comes directly out of the deep etching process. But now the real preparation work starts.
I feel this is getting INSANE when finished!

Laying on my workbench and waiting for assembly.
Planning a special strap package for this weekend launch with DLC coated mesh, black leather strap with carbon roller buckle and racing leather strap with DLC coated buckle. The mesh is currently in my DLC coating company and I´m not sure it will arrive in time for the photoshooting, but it will be included into the final package of course.

As much as I like Helberg/H2O and would gladly have any one of their watches...If I didn't know better...looking at the picture... one might assume this is made out of plastic...

Not sure what the vision is...

The vision is this. The new images from earlier are not the greatest, so I understand the uncertainty.

None of the images above are mine.

I'm more on board with the look of these...but what's supposed to happen with that bubble domed unit?

Damascus cases and dials can be polarizing. Most I know either love them or hate them. The only ones that have struck a chord in my eyes are the Zelos titanium Damascus (timascus).

Titanium damascus. This amazing material is made from two different titanium alloys which are forged together under tremendous heat and pressure. Once this material is forged and machined to our highest tolerances, it is heated to approximately 400°C to bring out the brilliant colors. This layered effect and colors vary slightly across all watch cases.

The Hammerhead above ↑ would look great with a blue meteorite dial.

I like the look...the darker black versions not so much as they look more like forged carbon...the jury is still out on the Timascus with the bright colors...all this being said they'll be priced out of my budget anyway, but it's cool to see what folks are coming up with...
