This is the H-50 powered version based on the ETA 2801-2 without date complication that is much truer to the original US Mil-Spec Hamilton made from the 1960's through the mid-1980's, increased in size from 34mm to 38mm with similar lug width increase from 16mm to 20mm. Dial markings are much more accurate and the date complication has been jettisoned when compared to their older one with an ETA 2804-2 under the dial. I immediately ditched the funky nylon NATO strap Hamilton put on it and put it on a real 20mm US Mil-Spec strap (IIRC made by Marathon for the US Gov't). Hamilton got it "right" this time around. Sapphire crystal is slightly domed to eliminate glare and mirror-like reflections.

Compare it to an original 34mm that's four decades old:

PROS

very low price barely clearing 3 HUN gravity pulling the price to a 2 handle

HAMILTON TM

very nice mil-spec fashion appearance

mechanical hand wind...look ma no rotor

wears like a feather...comfy as a hummingbird in the saddle

LUM

-so where's the paint ? KO upon entering the cage for a lum battle

-wind spring... so here's my take and please jump in to amplify...because the power reserve was doubled from 40 to 80 hrs... the spring feels weaker

FINAL WORD

so JL u been on a tear pullin' gat like a wit gangster ...shots bouncing off the PP & CC...therefore even though LWIG is for cheer leading...i.e applause wit ! you are truly a glutton of consumption ! ( sarcasm...meaning LWIG is to cheer a guy's purchase )

because JL this is not your first horo rodeo ScottyB has gangster jumped the thread to elicit serious discussion on this hammy meck...warts & all

pardon me...can u pass the grey poupon ? ScottyB never been no stinkin' cheer leader
