I got mine Monday and it looks great however I had to call Aragon Tuesday morning for a return because it is D.O.A. And yes I understand how automatic movements work, I only have about 45 of them. I was at home when FedEx delivered it and on boxed it right afterwards. Before removing any protective wrappings other than the one on the dial I noticed that the second hand was not moving. Every Aragon and Android that I own are always running even after staring at them for 5 seconds which is great because the Invicta automatics normally don't until you wind them.

Well anyway I said to myself it just needs winding so I proceed to wind it, but after 28 or so the second hand was still not moving. So I gave it a total of 40+ and again nothing. I decided to set the time and that's when the second hand began to move but only because I was turning the crown. In other words where as when you're turning the crown to set the watch and both the hour and minute hand only move, the second hand was turning or moving along at the same pace as the hour and minute hands. When I stopped the time setting process the second hand stopped as well and again did not move or began to run.

So the young lady that I spoke with at Aragon said that she was shocked to hear this and all watches are checked prior to shipping. So anyway I'm waiting on a return label. After WELL over 50 Android and Aragon Automatic timepieces I can't ever recall having a problem with one their timepieces, which is more that I can say for Invicta as I have had to return about 8 of the years with various issues that came right out of the box.

Sorry to hear, but I'm sure they will make it right. I guess it's possible something happened in transit, but then again so is a bad one slipping through the QC check. I hope the turn-a-round time is quick.

a dead engine... pretty face... repair or replace quick I hope...good luck

Yes I agree Roadwarrior... more than likely the FedEx guy probably threw it from the curb to the front porch and yelled out..... TOUCHDOWN!!! just because it landed on the porch and not in the hedges or on the steps!!! :)

:banghead: Sorry to hear that happened to you. Luckily it is Wing you are dealing with. Good luck and I hope it's sooner than later.

Nothing worse for a watch guy then opening that new box, loving what you are seeing, then it isn't working. I've had watches I opened and seen them and thought I hope it doesn't work so it's an easy send back. So far it's only happened to me when I really like the watch and have to send it back and wait all over again. They will make it right and I hope quickly. I like the looks of that one, hope you get a new one quick.

I have a similar story. Bought a Divemaster 3 auto with the SII NH35 movement last November. Received the watch and manually wound it 50 rotations and 24 hours later the watch lost 1 hour of time. Looking at the dial at times the second hand would stop and go. Returned the watch at my expense and paid $15 for the return shipping cost. Two months later phoned customer service rep. Christina as to the status of my watch. Shortly there after received the watch back. It was doing the same exact thing, like it was never repaired. Repair receipt said the balance spring and watch calibrated. Spoke to Christina and she couldn't believe that had happened since she said the watches are tested before going out. She sent me a free return shipping label. Got it back two months later AND THE SAME PROBLEM EXISTED. Mailed it back to them again. I received the watch back and it still was losing an hour of time a day. Spoke to Christina again and the same routine. Weeks later got it back SAME PROBLEM. This time the repair report said reinstalled hands. Called Christina back and told her the guy repairing the watches is doing NOTHING but holding them for weeks or months and sending it back in the same condition as he received them. Told her she better inform Wing because the repairman is not doing his job. The watch is back at Aragon for the 3rd time. Its about two months since I sent it back and was about to phone her again as to the status of my watch. Told her if the watch can't be repaired then give me a refund, new movement or a new watch. If I get is back in the same condition will attempt to contact Wing personally.

Sorry to hear about that timeman. I wonder if they checked the watch for magnetism?

How does magnetism affect a watch?

Watches can be adversely affected by magnetism and may gain or lose time. It is important not to leave a watch close to magnetic objects for a long periods. In particular, cell phones, television and PC speakers, magnetic necklaces, handbag clasps, hair-driers, electric razors, magnetic parts of refrigerators are all magnetic. When your watch is influenced by magnetism, contact the nearest Authorized Seiko Service Center to have the watch demagnetized.

I have no idea if they checked it for magnetism. If they tested the watch( twice) before shipping it back, like they claim, and it's supposedly working properly doubt magnetism is the cause.

I'm not sure that can be ruled out if you say the watch keeps coming back with the same problem. Both sides can't be right. Something is being done incorrectly or missed by someone. I would have checked that the very first time. The $15.00 spent for the return shipping could have purchased a demagnitizer for $8.99 including S&H.

:banghead: I guess your assumption means it can't be the movement either that needs to be replaced if they are checking it before coming back. :hmm:

When I spoke to Christina told her they are spending more on shipping then what the watch is worth. Aragon's repair guy should invest in a demagnetizer as a final step before shipping watches back out to customers. Maybe they are already doing it?

WOW!!!

I have a similar story.

DOUBLE WOW!!!

I also had a similar issue with another watch company who is held in high regards on this forum. I received a watch that the hands were misaligned. I sent it back and they changed the mov't. The hands were now aligned nicely , but the rotor was frozen and would not wind the watch. I sent it back again and when it was returned to me , I found the watch had the original mov't in it with the misaligned hands. I finally deceided to fix it myself and aligned the hands.

great information. thanks for sharing this

Most MRI machines are 1.5 Tesla. a Tesla is 10,000 Gauss. Our section chief of MRI has the Rolex Milgauss and knows not to wear it into the magnetic room, but of course, he is a knowledgeable expert about it.

WOW!!! I spoke with Christina as well and luckily I advised her that I would rather return the Parma and instead go with another model and pay the difference. Maybe a Regeneron.
