THE UNMATCHED GLOW OF UNRIVALLED TECHNOLOGY.

In the light of day, the black, blue and brown dials offer classic style. In darkness, the micro gas tube Arabic numerals deliver an uncommon brightness that cannot be ignored. Bold, legible and eye-catching, the micro gas tubes shine automatically in all dark and low-light conditions. As every hour marker is comprised of the leading luminescent technology, the time is instantly visible. Even the dual-time hour hand is outfitted with a micro gas tube to guarantee truly magnificent time reading in darkness.

SLIM MEETS STRONG: 12.8MM BUILT FROM 904L STEEL.

At 12.8mm thick, the timepiece is surprisingly thin. And with a case diameter of 40mm and lug-to-lug width of 46.6mm, it’s the perfect tool for rugged exploration or international business. Yet, its slim size is matched by its incredible strength. Built from 904L stainless steel, the case exhibits superior resistance to corrosion, rust and acids. With its extra amounts of chromium, molybdenum, nickel and copper, 904L is capable of withstanding extreme conditions, while also maintaining a beautiful, lasting polish.

TOUGH TOOLS: TWO QUICK-SET BUTTONS, DAY-NIGHT INDICATOR.

Powered by our COSC dual time movement module built in house, the certified chronometer reveals the time in two geographic zones. The secondary hour hand in blue indicates local time and is operated by simply pressing the quick-set buttons. The button at 8 o’clock moves the hand backward, while the 10 o’clock button moves it forward. With an intelligent lock system, the buttons are safeguarded against unintentional manipulation. When only one time zone reading is preferred, the blue hour hand can be positioned underneath the main hour hand. To further aid travelers, the aperture at 6 o’clock serves as a day-night indicator for local time. White for daytime, blue for nighttime.

PROTECTION THAT PROPELS YOU FORWARD.

Even with three crowns and a see-through sapphire crystal case back, the timepiece is water resistant to 100 meters. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal above the dial also provides necessary toughness and enables clear visibility in all conditions. Inside the case, our patented Amortiser® system surrounds the movement and absorbs intense shock impact to ensure the time is always precise. An ultra-durable timepiece with robust engineering that holds up under pressure and amid adversity, the Engineer II Timetrekker aids you in exploring without hesitation.

These newer Ball direct pre-order releases seem like the price has gradually climbed up compared to where it was a few years ago. I think the price won't be much higher after the ordering date expires. They will usually show up for less in the grey market, but it's hard to say. I've seen some of the ones I picked up never turn up. I picked up my Ball Engineer II Moon Phase in April of this year from the AD Rivers Edge for $899.50 on a bracelet.

I noticed they were gradually increasing the direct Ball pre-order prices before COVID-19 hit back in 2018-19. One reason I think was the brick and mortar AD stores couldn't compete with some of the deals. The way things are in the COVID age, those stores may not be open anymore.

like i have posted JMHO ...I prefer only 1 crown...more crowns " the better to catch on my jacket liners, sweaters, etc and wind up a hot mess tearing or breaking something... a bull in a china shop "
