We’re thrilled with the success of our first Brand Spotlight with Bulova, so we’re riding the momentum into our second by showcasing another long-standing partner of ours, one of the most well-known outdoor brands in the world: Victorinox. While Victorinox may be known today for its reliable watches (among many other goods), it’s impossible to discuss them without first mentioning the original Swiss Army Knife. Victorinox has been around since 1884, when founder Karl Elsener opened his own cutlery business in Switzerland. Elsener’s idea for a compact knife with a wide array of practical functions proved it was here to stay, and he eventually won a contract to supply the Swiss army with pocket knives. When Elsener’s mother, Victoria, passed away, he named his company after her. The name was later combined with “inox,” the French word for “stainless,” as all of its knives were, and still are, made of stainless steel. Of course, the Swiss Army Knife is only one aspect of the Victorinox catalogue, and the quality and attention to detail that goes into each of its knives is mirrored in its timepieces. That’s why we’re excited to bring Victorinox on as a partner for our second Brand Spotlight, starting next Tuesday, June 2. You’ll have to wait and see what the whole collection brings, but rest assured there’s something for everyone—from durable field watches to handsome dress watches—plus limited-edition runs, exciting extras, and up to 15 times the Drop Rewards points on each purchase.
Check back Monday to see the full list of products!
