That *description about the tubes here is incorrect. Either one would be correct if being stand alone designations on a dial. If the watch only had three tubes on the handset the T-25 would be correct and the same thing apples for the 13 applied flat tube markers. The total number of tubes and the millicuries they add up to is what designates the amount of Tritium on one watch. Most times on Ball you will either see T-25 or just a T. Those that have the largest quantity of Tritium will always have the T on Ball, but some other companies use T-100. I've seen some companies using the T-100 incorrectly on the dial when it is actually T-25.
What do the T25 and T100 designations mean?
The T25 and T100 designations refer to the combined amount of tritium gas that is hermetically sealed in the glass tubes in the watch. T25 watches have up to 25 mCI (millicuries) of tritium gas in the watch whereas T100 means there is up to 100 mCi of tritium gas in the watch.
In a "technical" nutshell, T25 means the watch has between 1 and 25 millicuries (mCi) of radioactive tritium and T100 (or T) has between 26 and 100 millicuries.
