I understand the logic of the case being so thick for fan base of bigger sizes, but he isn't helping his case with gaining more sales. It's a little hard to swallow the designer's explanation of the case being made almost 17mm thick on a 200m watch. Saying he likes the watch to be taller and more substantial is fine if he is making them personally to wear.

There will be folks who love the size specs, but even if the watch was 45 or 42mm Wing still makes them thicker than they need to be. Muddling the waters by using the word substantial doesn't equate with something being built solid.

I could be wrong, but I think the reason the cases are not made thinner on some models is a cost savings measure. I don't see any other logic because those out of place looking hands confirm my suspicions as well.

It's great to see the other build specs of sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel and scissor style clasp. The prices are good for those features, especially the NE20 version. That is not a cheap movement to source.

Mike I totally agree with your thoughts. I believe Wing keeps the same large size dimensions, same basic hands, cases, bracelets, and overall designs because they are less expensive to manufacture or re-design (EX-Invicta). This was the first Wing video that he had an apologetic theme. Only big 50mm case size, no 42-45mm, big thickness, let’s see how it goes, Wing states with a noticeable sad look. After recently purchasing 2 Aragon’s with poor loom, Blemished bezels, K1 crystals, and NH35 movements that are running -20+sec/24Hrs., I’am sadly done with Aragon’s hockey puck size, lack of new designs, and cheapened, newly released products. Wing is a super, caring person, but I believe the changing economy, Watch collectors move to smaller sizes, and new creative blood such as ET (Zelos), Are slowly replacing watchbrands such as Aragon.

I don't mind the thickness on the Divemaster 4's. The chunky bezel appeals to me. Its the crazy 20mm tall watches I can live without. I do agree the hands should be bigger, but was wanting to add a purple to my collection, so the NE20 purple is on the way. $245 for sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, and NE20 movement was too hard to pass on. Congrats on the NE20 DM4 and wear it well.

I like the way you think, I just ordered the purple myself

I have been thinking along these lines for a little while now. Wing brings good value however. I am drawn to Zelos and Borelias now because the offer refreshing styles and great lume. ( also my DF47 open heart bezel spring broke, never dropped and it should arrive at Aragon tomorrow) how does a watch worn less than 30 times in 3 month have a bezel malfunction where it doesn’t click and turns both ways?

I love the chunky easy grip bezel on my DM4, however I agree it doesn’t need to be that thick.
