Zelos Swordfish 40mm Drop goes live on the 28th of Jan, 11pm SGT

Got an email saying mine will ship tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be as slow as the last package from Fedex (which took 3 weeks to go across the country).

Mine arrived. Quality seems outstanding for the price. One thing that seems strange is that the bracelet screws are on different sides on each half of the bracelet. Also the quick release spring bars seem to dig into by wrist. I probably have 20mm spring bars laying around but I've always struggled to get bracelets back onto watches....

The majority of my bracelets using one-sided screws are all that way. If I flip the watch and look at the holes you can see the six side has the screw heads and the 12 shows the bottom of the screw. My Borealis are all like that and other brands as well.

My two were stuck in COMPTON, CA.

(Shipment exception delay beyond our control) FedEx

Just started to move again in LOS Angeles, CA

:outstand:A big congratulations on a sharp looking addition!:applaud:

How exactly do you remove the spring bar from the bracelet? You have to cut it?

Can't manage to reattach the bracelet either....

If you need to change them to traditional spring bars you would have to use needle nose and carefully snap the part. I read someone did this on a Zelos before. Unfortunately that is one of the drawbacks on a steel bracelet using QRPs. They don't have the flexibility of soft straps to remove or replace like in the video below.

Managed to reattach the bracelet.

And then one of the screws (the one right by the clasp which I didn't touch when resizing the bracelet) came out and the watch fell off my wrist onto my lap. Starting to see why some brands don't use screws in the bracelet.

Silly. The spring bars clearly stick out past the bottom of the watch. I can't be the only person who finds them jabbing into my wrist to be annoying.

I thought it was weird too but don't feel them on the Blacktip, so I'm hoping the swordfish will be the same. Also see the alternating screw heads on oppisite sides of the Blacktip. Loctite is a must. The screws on mine, particularly the ones closest to the lugs were backing out.

They are similar to the ones Christopher Ward, TSAO Baltimore, etc. use and I've never had any issue with them. Maybe it's the bone structure of your wrist.

:hmm: I hope you are not buying one of those bronze bracelets. They will turn your wrist bone green once the patina seeps into the broken skin.

I suspect it has more to do with the tiny knobs poking into my flesh.

Maybe I'm just not as manly as you guys.

Reached out to Zelos and he explained that one of knubs on the spring bars can be unscrewed to allow removal. Probably will order a bracelet spring bar tool before I try this.

Use caution with the spring bar tool. Those pointy tips that can cut and poke holes with slippage. :hmm:

All joking aside, that's good to know. When you do it if possible some photos would be helpful. In the meantime I'm going to fiddle around with the knob on one of mine to see if it easily pops off. Just one more micro-size part to tinker with and lose.

This screw system is a little too cleaver for its own good. The fitted end link is compromised to accommodate the removable part.
