You could not make this stuff up!
The girl was so confused last night she had her headphone on crooked. I hear a big thump on my step. I found a big box sitting on my step with five days of letters under the box. She never used the mail slot. I put that stuff in the house and see if I could see her. I go a few doors down and she is on her knees sorting though a tote. I said what's going on? She said, Oh I have more packages I have to go back to the mail truck and get more. I said wouldn't it be easier to deliver all the same mail to the same address at once. I said let me see what is in that tote. I gave her a list of tracking numbers. Two more packages of mine were there. She was going to deliver them to the wrong house. She said Oh I knew they were there, I'm just going back and forth. I said OK, well here let me help you. I took my two packages. The one with the medicine is still missing. She never scanned anything as the tracking images show with the red alerts. (I marked the delivered in red in as proof of delivery). While I was watching her I was talking to one of my neighbors. She was holding her week of mail in two hands. As she was sorting through it she said, not mine, not mine, not mine. One stack she had to play mail lady with. The girl was rambling on about how a senior guy was screwing everybody because he keeps calling out and they have nobody. I said I sympathize with you sweetheart, but this local PO branch sucked long before the election or the 2020 pandemic!
What's even sadder is a company the size Amazon. I'm waiting for a pretty good size box that weighs at least 40-50 pounds. The tracking from Amazon and e-mail says it is on one of Amazon's trucks.
An Amazon Prime van rolls up the street. I hear someone yelling and cursing in the back. I yell hey pal do you have something for me. A young kid jumps out of the back of the van and walks to the cab talking to himself. He yells over I can't find it they never put it on the truck! I said pal calm down man. He starts yelling I need a helper, this is a two man job. I said you're moving around all that small stuff. The package for me is big and weighs at least forty pounds. He yells at me you come out here and find it! I said hang on. I walk over and it looks like a cyclone was in the back of the van from his tantrum. I point to a box on one of the van shelves and said check that one. He reads the address and says that is not your address. I ask him what he reads and he rattles off my address. I said that is one of my packages. He struggles to lift it off the shelf and I take it in. I ask him to see if he can find the other package. It should be a small box about five pounds. After looking he finds that one. He drives off and a neighbor walks over and says he broke every rule that Amazon has asking a customer to get in the truck and find their stuff. I said the kid was frazzled. I'm not going to make his day any worse or cause him more grief calling to complain. I blame Amazon.
Later that night I realize my security camera captured the whole incident. He must have activated it when he parked the van.
