i like these and will lurk for falling prices... USA dominated watch industry prior to WW2...when the domestic factories converted to munitions for the war industry...they never went back to making watches...but the USA abandoned the watch industry to europe , soviet union and then japan and eventually china while USA manufacturing went after bigger fish and scorned the lowly DOLLAR BEN

now engines are made in japan and " assembled in USA ".. kinda like the shinola story...

a domestic usa watch engine business could truly restore MADE IN USA @ the 6
